I’m Harriet, a heart-led hair artist, proud Cancerian, and the founder of HarrietXHair. My home salon was born from a dream to create something more than just a place to get your hair done. I wanted to build a safe, nurturing space where creativity flows, connections are made and you leave feeling not just beautiful but seen, heard, and self assured.

My journey started back in 2012 with an old-school salon apprenticeship. Since then I’ve travelled the world doing what I love, from buzzing salons in the UK to styling hair on Royal Caribbean cruise ships, and a lifetime opportunity working on Hamilton Island as the resident hairdresser and seasonal wedding specialist. Every step shaped the stylist I am today: grounded, intuitive, and forever evolving.
In 2021, I took the leap and opened HarrietXHair from my home, a cosy, one-to-one studio experience filled with warmth, intention, and personal touches. I specialise in enhancing natural beauty, creating soft, lived-in colour, and building long-term relationships with my clients. Whether you’re after a full refresh or just need some “you time,” this is your space.

The "X" in HarrietXHair isn’t just a stylistic choice. It represents my surname, CROSS, but on my logo it’s depicted as a pair of open scissors merging my identity with my craft. Over time, that "X" has come to symbolise connection, passion, and creativity.
HarrietXHair isn’t just a salon, it’s a safe space, whether clients come in needing a quiet escape or a heart-to-heart, they know they’re welcome. I listen without judgment, and I’ll offer advice when invited. Above all, I want people to feel seen, heard, and completely themselves.
